Community Outreach

Our community outreach focuses on Evangelism, the Matthew Project, and our food bank. We aim to spread faith, support youth development, and provide essential resources to those in need. Join us in making a positive impact in our community.

Evangelism

In obedience to Jesus’ great commission, we reach out to our community and beyond with His love, believing everyone deserves to experience God’s love regardless of their background. God values you and has a purpose for your life, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV): “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

God invites you on a journey to make things beautiful for you. Accept His call as He says in Isaiah 1:18 (KJV): “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” If you want to receive His invitation, say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for me. I receive your love and confess your Lordship in my life. Help me to serve you all my days. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Matthew Project

The Matthew Project, a non-referral food bank, was started by our church in June 2020 to support the Nottingham community during the COVID-19 pandemic. With support from Nottingham City Council and FareShare East Midlands, we have served over 30 people every Saturday since then, thanks to our volunteers and the church.

Besides providing food, we also offer clothing and household items. As a faith-based initiative, we engage service users with the Christian gospel, prayers, and counselling according to their needs.

Food Bank

We take our inspiration from Matthew 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

Our services are not limited to emergency food provision only, we also signpost people to other relevant agencies for help. Our services are open to everyone from the local community and beyond. More information about how the food bank works can be found here on the Trussell Trust website.

Career Development & Support Team

At RCCG CRA Nottingham, we focus on empowering our community through career development support. For over five years, our Career Development and Support Team has provided personalized guidance to help individuals achieve their professional goals. Partnering with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), we offer student placements to build valuable work experience and skills.
We also launched a Digital Transformation Department to assist those transitioning into tech roles. Through mentoring, training, and networking within our church community, we have helped many secure roles in the tech industry. Our mission is to support both individual success and the prosperity of the wider community.
